What is Tetreum?
Tetreum is a quantum-ready, EVM-compatible blockchain network built to secure the future of decentralized applications. It combines Ethereum compatibility with post-quantum cryptographic principles, making it resilient against both current and future computational threats.
Tetreum is designed from the ground up to address the shortcomings of existing blockchain platforms. It provides full EVM compatibility, meaning any Solidity smart contract that runs on Ethereum also runs on Tetreum — with zero code changes.
At its core, Tetreum focuses on three pillars: security, scalability, and quantum resistance. These make it an ideal foundation for long-term decentralized applications and enterprise blockchain solutions.
Quantum computers, once fully realized, will be able to break many of the cryptographic algorithms that protect today's blockchains. Tetreum is built with this threat in mind, incorporating post-quantum cryptographic primitives to ensure the network remains secure even in a post-quantum world.
This makes Tetreum one of the first blockchain platforms to proactively address quantum vulnerability at the protocol level — rather than waiting until quantum computers become a practical threat.
The native currency of the Tetreum network is TET. It is used to pay gas fees for transactions and smart contract execution, participate in network governance, and stake as a validator. The Tetreum Testnet uses test TET, which has no real-world monetary value and is used solely for development and testing purposes.
Because Tetreum is fully EVM-compatible, developers familiar with Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, or any other EVM network can immediately start building on Tetreum. Tools like MetaMask, Hardhat, Foundry, Remix, and ethers.js all work out of the box.
This compatibility means the vast library of existing Solidity contracts — including ERC-20 tokens, ERC-721 NFTs, DeFi protocols, and governance contracts — can be deployed on Tetreum without modification.
The Tetreum Testnet is a public test environment where developers can experiment with smart contracts, test DApps, and explore the blockchain without using real funds. It mirrors the behavior of the main Tetreum network while allowing free experimentation.
TetScan is the official block explorer for the Tetreum Testnet. It provides real-time visibility into all on-chain activity — blocks, transactions, smart contracts, token transfers, validator activity, and network health.
